CMU has played way over everyone's expectations. They only came into the year with 10 returning starters and they hired a very unproven first year coach. WMU is supposed to be one of the better offensive teams in the country and definitely a MAC contender. Western braught back most all their team and beat CMU at their place last year. Not saying it's not a good bet, just giving reasons for the line. Many people are still suspicious that CMU is not for real.....time will tell.

I must be one of the only people here at the Rx who feel the Wolverines will cover the -7 over Northwestern. What do you think? :think2:
I see Michigan beating Northwestern by the score of 23-7 or thereabouts. Relatively easy cover. Thoughts?
!/I rarely bet Michigan but I am this week. Under Mattison we had a good defense last year but most michigan fans knew we were a year away. We returned almost everyone from a very good defense plus we added peppers who red shirred and we hired Durkin from Florida who is largely regarded as one of the best defensive coaches in cfb. The transition was seemless as Mattison was retained to coach the Dline. Hoke recruited wonderfully but he had really young players on really key spots,namely the offensive line. Now our offensive line is juniors and seniors out side of freak Mason Cole and they're playing up their 4 and 5 star rankings out of high school. We have a junior rb who runs really hard in deveon smith.He was four star kid out of high school but how strapped his hopes to five star Derrick Green who runs really soft. We have a couple of really nice upper class man wr and a 5th year senior qb. I can't imagine NW moving the ball with their freshman qb against this defense loaded with highly touted kids and some of the best defensive minds in the game. Then you have Harbaugh who the kids would run through a wall for. I think this is a huge trap game. Everyone is on NW....take Michigan. The line I'm getting is -7, so I may just wait another 12 or so hours with the hopes the price drops to -6.5 or -6.
