Gotta tell this story. So I play with a local who uses ABCwager/Jazz PPH. I play the ponies every so often and today I hit an exacta at Woodbine. They paid me less than the actual payout. So I call down there to ask them their "max odds payout" per wager type on the ponies. The phone rep said he could not tell me and I needed to call my agent. For the record, my agent has no clue about anything involved in horse racing. He doesn't know an exacta from a pick3.
So I ask the phone rep: "are you looking at the max odds for my account on your computer screen?"
rep: "yes"
me: "so tell me what they are"
rep: "I can't, you will have to call your agent"
me: "why not just tell me directly, what's the big secret?"
rep: "I can't tell you"
So I ask for the manager.
manager: "we're not allowed to tell that information"
me: "that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, can you tell me the payout on a 3 team parlay"
manager: "no, I can't tell you that either, you will have to call your agent"
I explain to him that my agent knows nothing about horses. I ask again: "are you looking at the max odds payout for my account"
manager: "yes"
me: "so please tell me what they are, so I know how to wager"
manager: "I can't tell you what they are"
There are some real idiots down there working these shops. Especially at ABC/Jazz.

Most locals are set up with house odds and not track odds. Have your agent call and ask what he pays out on horse. I do find it odd that they won't tell you though.

Not sure if you read my post or not. I know that PPH sites have house odds and not track odds. That was 100% the reason for the call. Was to find out those max house odds payouts. What would be the reason why the PPH site, who is paid by the agent to run his operation, can not tell me those payouts? Why is it confidential? I'm the customer, right? I'm entitled to know those odds. If I like a 20-1 shot at Keeneland and it's two minutes to post, and I can't contact my agent or he doesn't know the max odds, I should be able to get that answer from the people who are outsourced to run his business.

Maybe he told them not to disclose anything, who knows. Normally horse clerks and cs would tell a customer what your odds were, max payouts, etc, as long as the agent didn't have a message saying not to.... odd that that person wouldn't, but i don't know their policy. Sorry.
