No disrespect to Blue Jays fans in here, but I gotta vent.

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/10/jos...ost-emphatic-bat-flip-of-the-season-good-lord

There is nothing "epic" or "awesome" about this bat flip. It's disrespectful and it flies in the face of sportsmanship.

Also, Toronto fans were terrible too. Throwing things on the field and at opposing team players is ridiculous. Act like you've won a playoff game before.

That's all

Disclosure: I'm biased here. But, can you blame the guy? Game 2 the Jays seen a really bad call in the game that was reviewed in New York and the play was upheld. The Rangers go to win game 2 6-4. Then the whole Martin error that cost a crucial run. These guys, any guys would be really pissed and hungry for a win. With all the emotions going and to hit a home run... that is something else. Maybe not the most classy thing to do, but hey... redemption never felt so good.

In addition, in his post game interview....he said i meant no disrespect to them. He mentioned it was the heat of the moment & emotions took over. I don't blame him at all. Blue Jays, just like the Cubs, can't act like "they've been there before." They haven't won a playoff series let alone a clinching game at home since 1993. Let the man celebrate and do what he's gotta do. You NEVER know when u will make it back to the postseason (just ask the Blue Jays who were on the roster from 1994 - 2014).

We see the same thing in all the major sports when a TD is scored, tackles made, spikes, ball twirls, etc, slam dunks, stare downs, hang on rims, fist pumps, trash talk,

Hilarious comment by pitcher Sam Dyson who by the way played for the jays in 2012

“Jose needs to calm that down, just kind of respect the game a little more. He’s a huge role model for the younger generation that’s coming up playing this game, and I mean he’s doing stuff that kids do in Wiffle ball games and backyard baseball. It shouldn’t be done.”

Really sam ??? you worried about a bat flap after you pitch a ball on a sliver platter in game 5 of an elimination game and joey bats smashes it for a 3 run homer, and you worried about what bautista did ???? why don't you explain the melon pitch you made, and the 3 errors your team made in the 7th after the meltdown on defense and your inability to get out of the inning !!!! Bautista did nothing wrong period, heat of the moment celebration in biggest home run in his baseball career give me a break !!!!! Sour Grapes!! he even went after tulowitzki patting him on his ass as he left the field..... f*****ng idiot... I am so happy the jays rammed it up the texans arses!!!!! So much for an all Texas AL matchup Y'all !!!! maybe go blame the governor for jinxing your teams !!!!

cheers

Go Jays Go Canada Eh!!!!

Don't get me wrong..Toronto deserved to win. Texas blew it, and Toronto has a very good team. I just didn't like the "most epic bat flip in history."

Varkey: It is cool of him to come out afterward and say it wasn't disrespectful, and that his emotions got to him. I wasn't aware of that

Just like how NFL players celebrate after a TD, I feel like HRs should warrant a celebration as well. I know no1 watches Korean baseball but in Korea the pros don't get really mad over bat flips on HRs. It's just part of the baseball culture over there. It's like, why not if you KNOW you hit one out of the park. The pitchers don't have to take it as showboating. It could just be taken as celebrating. After NBA players dunk the ball and get an and1 call, they almost always pound their chest or something. And I don't think they're trying to disrespect the players on the other team. But when you're at home and your home fans are watching and you hit a really long ball, why not bat flip? It's like the only cool thing you can do after a HR anyway.. BTW I'm definitely not a fan of Bautista.. I think that guy shows too much fake humility. If you're always gonna batflip and come out aggressively to defend your player, just be the thug that you are. Don't gotta front to kick it...

If you don't like that bat flip Youve personally never been in a high competitive situation with such an outcome as a walk off, a 3 run shot in a game clinching series, an interception to finish off a super bowl, etc.

professional athletes play with such high emotions on a daily basis or else the lose their edge. It's also a good gambling tool if you can figure out the emotions.

Jose did nothing wrong. His emotions got the best of him but it was not as if he did anything to negatively impact the game, the opposing team or franchise, or his own for that matter. If it were a June game, you'd be right. You also have to add that he was on the active list for most games played without a post season before this post season. He is at an all time career emotional mal high right now
