I remember one time back in the 60's watching the Giants vs the Redskins score over 100 points. I think as long as it doesn't happen on a regular basis, it's a non issue. If you believe that the NFL is becoming more influenced by fantasy sports, however, this could happen a lot more often.

As long as the game doesn't become too homogenized stylistically then it is fine.

A problem that MLB and NBA have is everyone pretty much team builds/roster constructs the exact same way now. That is the downside of analytics-oriented front offices, once you solve the game strategically, everyone pretty much tries to skin the cat the same way because they think it is the most +EV way possible. Copycat league, etc.

thats why I'm glad the royals won. Perhaps their team was built analytically (honestly have no clue), but their in game strategy/approach tends to fly in the face of the analytic movement.

is a 7-6 game bad for the sport?

Just because you have a 7-6 game does not mean its all great defense.
And just because you have a 52-49 game does not mean its all bad defense.

That Dallas/Seattle game yesterday was very low scoring and it had nothing to do with great defense.

It had to do with two completely inept teams that cant get out of their own way.

If you watched the Saints/Giants game you would have seen some incredible high level play on offense.

Im not saying the defense was the 85 Bears, but it was high quality football.

Much higher then that bull shit you saw in Dallas yesterday and I dont see any threads about bad football concerning that game.
