Been sitting through a sexual harassment case this week

Guys, I certainly know there are cases where women lie. This is not one of them.

Simply put, it's horrible but tough to describe.

Guy is not a rapist but an inappropriate sexual harasser if that makes any sense. Touching inappropriately, very sexual comments, trying to kiss etc.

I tried to put myself in a woman's shoes on this thing. It's hard. They have to sit through this deal where all these personal details are revealed. I can't imagine.

All I can say is if you're a guy, and you see this going on, please put an end to it. That's someone's daughter.

Spoken like a true gent. Best post Ive seen from you EVER. I write a weekly column at medium.com and my 1st one was about this subject, inspired by a local story were a guy was filming a girl under her dress in the middle of the capital without her knowing, another guy filmed the fucker doing it and confronted him, the guy that did something was stabbed by 2 guys 2 days later. Scum coward men need to learn a lesson or 2.

Same here. Last time I was on Jury duty my job still paid me 40 hours. 9 to 5 with 2 hour lunch breaks. Being a Judge is a pretty good gig.

I hate it, but have one story which reflects poorly on our legal system

Once, just once in my life while on jury duty I was actually called to be part of the pool. The case was about a contract dispute between a hospital and a doctor, something I might understand (more so than your typical juror anyhow). while waiting to be interviewed by the attorneys, an agent of the court came up to me and said I could leave, they weren't interested in having me on the jury.

I didn't give a fuck, I was happy to leave, but it just goes to show what attorneys are trying to accomplish in our system. It's not about the facts, it's about their ability to spin them.

Me too! Unfortunately, I've been waiting over 20 years and still have yet to be called for the possibility of being selected to sit...Sucks!
