If Roethlisberger is in playing now and playing well, why wasn't the starting to begin with?

i would assume the coaches looked at the relative risk/reward of further injury vs. winning game and without a viable alternative they were then willing to risk the further injury/delayed recovery/limited mobility

Its vs the Browns, and instead of playing Ben who wasnt fully healthy, and possibly risk reinjury and more time away from the game, Landry should have been able to squeak out a win. But Landry went down, and who else @ QB do they have...

Very simple. They were playing the Browns and have a bye next week. That would give him 2 more weeks for foot to heal

Going Ben/Brown/Bryant in the milly maker on DraftKings would've been the most meta, next level thinking move ever.

Enfuego, I thought the same thing. I think I get the reasoning, because Vick is unplayable (is he even healthy? Either way, unplayable).

Guess my thinking is if you can come in in a backup role, you should be starting the game.

With some guys, you have to drag them off the field when they get injured.

Because the Steelers regularly beat the Browns by double digits and they wanted him to get rest with the bye coming up.
