Will be undefeated no more after this weekend. Iowa laying 1 1/2 to a 5-6 Huskers team is beyond belief. Huskers playing for a bowl berth and will upset the Hawkeyes. Lets see if Danny still has em no 2 in his poll this time next week.

I would say the Hawkeyes. Cowboys are always a favorite play on Thanksgiving day.

Tough game. Iowa is predictable and safe, but very efficient. They dont beat themselves. Nebraska is more dynamic but sometimes erratic and they do often beat themselves. I have little read on this game other than the crowd should be good.

Definitely Carolina. Iowa is so good that they would beat Alabama easily. I know because an Iowa fan in this forum said so.

I agree LT. That high powered offense would just manhandle the Tide's D line. I know because Danny Kanell has them no 2 in his poll

I'd be absolutely stunned if either iowa or sparty loses this week... The big 10 needs a team in the playoffs and the only way to secure that is by making sure an undefeated Iowa out of the much weaker division plays a one loss sparty...if you start playing out the scenarios if both those teams lose it gets ugly for the big 10.... The committee has basically given up on Ohio state, so has most of the country.... They aren't right... If either iowa or sparty lose, or both, all notre dame has to do is beat Stanford and they are definitely in.... Why you say....... MONEY. Notre dame has a huge national fan base, so does Alabama. Oklahoma and Clemson are both high profile this year, as long as bama, Clemson and Oklahoma win they are all in for sure without hesitation.... Then it all comes down to the big ten, notre dame and Stanford. Stanford is not a national brand and to most people around the country find them boring and irrelevant.

The playoff committee would love nothing more than for one of those big ten teams to lose this week and notre dame to beat Stanford.... Makes the most financial sense in terms of generating revenue via tickets sales and tv audiences.... You think Iowa is going to travel as well as notre dame, no shot.... It's always about money.... The big ten knows that. They will protect these two teams, trust me... Once they head into the big ten championship game as undefeated and one loss they are almost certainly guaranteed a team in because of iowa and their current #4 ranking.....

Normally the whole senior day/playing for bowl eligibility is the absolute right call in terms of motivation and cause for a play, and I always love those scenarios, but money talks..... And in this case I'll be taking Iowa ML or if the game gets to a pickem, whatever has better vig

Bol tho guys on however you choose to wager your money

I should say I'm certainly not trying to piss anyone off, just making a case for why Iowa will win.... Aside from all the money talk, I feel they are the better team, they don't win pretty; but they do win.... Nebraska struggles to do that

Please tell me you're joking, LOL. BAMA would kill Iowa. As for Carolina, as my favorite sports broadcaster Lee Corso likes to say, "Not So Fast." Heard on the local news tonight that Cam did NOT like Hardy's comment about the Panthers being nameless and faceless. You Dallas backers better play it low, a lot of redass coming out of the Panther locker room right now.

Isn't Neb pretty close to being one of the worst teams for penalties and for pass D?

1. Where is Fish..??

2. If Huskers win; they will have beaten both big t conference titleists: Spartans and Hawkeyes; with a terrible team.

This year the big 10 is the best from top to bottom than any other conf. I'm not saying they have a national championship team or anything, just that from first to last anyone can be anyone this year.

I disagree. The big 10 division Iowa is in is weaker than conference USA

Yeah CP, stated that "they (the Panthers) were a faceless and nameless bunch". If you don't think for one minute that didn't get under Newton's skin, I got some damn good beach front property in Tulsa I'll sell ya.

Yes on both. Penalties per say can be overrated. There are plenty of good teams that get penalized a lot like Baylor, TCU, Oregon, Michigan, Alabama....honestly I'd be more concerned with turnovers. The pass d is pretty bad. The run d is pretty good though, top ten by yards per game. Iowa runs to set up play action. That is pretty much what Nebraska would like to see. So, it'll be interesting to see how that plays out. Iowa's O is running pretty smooth and Beathard's scrambling is a big concern. If the right NU QB shows up, there could be some big plays for Nebraska offensively. The word is that Iowa's defense has really started to run down what with injuries forcing some guys to take a lot of snaps. Now they come of a short week and Nebraska comes off a buy. So, some advantage Nebraska there. It should be cold and could be quite windy, I'd think that would favor the better running team.
