Marketplace will always rebalance itself, force higher wages on companies, companies will distribute those higher wages amongst fewer people and invest in technology.

There's a huge convenience store chain/deli (Wawa) in the northeast and you just go in and punch up your order and everyone loves it. No mistakes (unless you screw up) no clamoring for a cashier or ordertaker either. Nobody will miss the front counter cashiers.

We might go there a couple of times of months for the kids, and I don't believe I've ever gone to the one by my house where that haven't screwed up the order. I always check it before driving off because they can never get it right.

Most of the customers are too fat to reach through their window and punch in an order. McDonalds has the worst clientale out of all the fast food places.

Talk about a place that's highly over priced.

Conrats on your upcoming raise, MikeB
Back in your day you probably earned about $15.00 in a week or even per month.

I worked at a union mom and pop grocery store..maybe 35 employees. Union would come in every couple years and demand $1 plus raises and tell us to go on strike..its a fucking grocery store..we bagged groceries. Any moron can do that....people gotta realize that if anyone can do what you do then you ain't got shit as far as bargaining power. If you want to throw your weight around and demand shit you better have some kinda skill or talent..if not I suggest you stfu and try to blend in...sucks but that's the game
