When Bernard Bennick couldn’t remember if he had purchased a ticket for the November 18th drawing of the Virginia Lottery’s 'Bank a Million' game, he ended up buying another one with identical numbers; both matched the numbers that were selected, giving him the top prize of $1 million twice for a win of $2 million.

If the top prize is $1 million should he have won half w/ each ticket ($500k) for a total of $1million? What if 20 people have the same number? That makes no sense (financially/fiscally) for the Lotto to pay out the full $1 million to every ticket w/ the winning numbers.

You BANK a million dollars AFTER taxes..

My guess is because its not a rolling lottery, over the long term they make a lot more. I'm sure it's possible for them to have losing weeks, but theres no way they unrolled this new game without being 100% sure its profitable
