STP was one of my faves, also saw him with his latest band last year Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts, sang a lot of STP songs but he looked bad, strung out I'm sure

My favorite band from the era.. Saw them live countless times. Great live band and Scott was one hell of a frontman. Had some killer shows in 99-00. RIP

Last interview..What a mess...

Poor Guy having to talk with Obnoxious Morons such as that....Radio Jocks not funny tryin' to force humor, at Scott's expense, what a trial it must have been to have to deal with idiocy like this ongoingly...

Merciful Escape.

Dude made some great Melodic Music, among the best flows, hooks, choruses given to Rock. He seemed to be blessed with a gift for making really catchy & appealing songs...

Rest In Peace Scott. Condolences to his children and wife

I always liked this song, surprised it wasn't a really big hit

+1

I'm really heartbroken about this... when you grow with someone's music carrying you over throught your worst and best times, you inevitably become emotionally attached to the artist. Cause it gave you hope when nothing else did. Me being a former (soon current again) rock singer is just a terrible tragedy, never saw him live, but just last night I was talking with my girl about him and his career, 2 days ago I was returning to my singing practice while rehearsing some STP/VU songs. Just yesterday I was so fuckin' happy cause I realized I could drink in a bar with my friends who still do coke and I didnt feel any anxiety or cravings, in part because my girl is a great motivation and source of happiness, in part cause im growing up.

For months I was one who thought that I would die on my bed from a heart attack, in one of those many nights in which I snorted an 8ball or more by myself. This guy was so genuine it hurts, and for me he is in the great class of legendary frontmans along with Jim Morrison, Robert Plant, Perry Farrel and many more.
