MLB has been on the downslide for years and is the firm 3 league in America. NBA took over MLB's spot 3-4 years ago. The new TV deal and the finals have beaten the world series the past 5 seasons. NBA is looking very good right now. MLB will continue to languish, but it'll stay in 3rd.

NHL is at the bottom like usual and I feel more confident than ever in my prediction that by the end of the decade MLS will overtake the NHL as the 4th league.

No idea how somebody could prove (or disprove) "most boring" --- but the ratings are fine.

NFL TV ratings continue to climb

Last year, the NFL had its most successful season yet in terms of television viewership, drawing more than 202 million unique viewers over the course of the entire season. That number represents an astounding 80 percent of all television homes. The NFL accounted for the top 20 and 45 of the 50 most-watched shows last fall, and it was the No. 1 show in all 17 weeks of the season. Regular-season games televised nationally averaged 17.6 million viewers, making it the second most-watched season ever after 2010 (17.9 million viewers on average).

Midway through this season, the trends suggest that ratings and viewership numbers will trump even last year’s. Thursday Night Football is up 6 percent in viewership this year from the same date a year ago, averaging 17.6 million viewers, up from 16.7 million last year. Overall, CBS is averaging 18.5 million viewers for its NFL telecasts, which would be the highest for the AFC game package in 29 years. NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” continues to be a ratings behemoth, averaging 23.6 million viewers this season, making it the top-ranked program on television this fall. ESPN is averaging 13.2 million viewers for its “Monday Night Football” telecasts.

So far this season, NFL games account for the top 10 and 19 of the top 20 programs on television this fall.

NFL is insanely popular.......the ratings have been thru the roof past couple of years & getting more popular.

As for is it boring to watch? Unless I have money on a game, I think its boring.

Gambling makes football fun to watch & interesting to follow. IMO, NFL receivers can't catch the ball as well as back in the day, exceptions are Bekham for the Giants & a very few others.

Too many dropped passes now a days.....receivers don't dive to catch the passes like Swann in the 70's.

NFL is definitely a better product today than it ever was before......now a days, its all business!

NFL Seems boring because 6 of the 8 divisions have been wrapped up since October. And the other 2 divisions are not exactly going 12-4 coming down to a tiebreaker

And the NBA will always seem boring because it needs retracted. Realistically only 4 or so teams out of 30 come into the season with a chance to actually win a title yet the regular season lasts 6 months. NBA players don't even try until May. Smoke weed, sleep in, and rap for 6 months and play basketball for 1 month.
