a voter could rationalize he's already seen the body of work and he's not changing his mind

or he doesn't want a extra game to give one candidate an unfair advantage / disadvantage over another candidate

I don't have a problem with that

So, say Henry rushed for 16 yards against Florida and McCaffrey rushed for 220 and 5 TDs against USC?

why don't they wait until after the bowls? what if?

or why don't they vote for MVP's after the playoffs? same difference

There are people who vote for the Heisman that no longer cover college football.

I mean, breaking an all purpose record set by Barry Sanders is pretty impressive and something that should be considered when voting no? And it wasn't broken until after the guy played USC.

I don't agree, but some voters don't count the conference championship games since every conference doesn't play them.

Only reason McCaffery didn't get it is because he is a white running back and the black old timer Heisman and black media will not have that. It's ok for them to have a fake running qb win it but a white running back; not having it. You know Tony Dorsett doesn't like white people. Fatass Jason Whitlock prob. has a vote.

The whole voting thing is a joke anyway. They offered to give dumbasses like Greenburg and Golic a vote. Neither follows it at all.

so your saying that HENRY beating HERSHEL WALKERS SEC total rushing yardage in a single season means nothing,.....i guess you think WALLKER was just a so-so running back,.....gimmie a break

Huh, interesting. I said Henry breaking Walker's record means nothing? Not sure I said that.

But, McCaffrey did it all this year. He ran the ball, caught the ball and returned the football. It's just that most of the voters are in bed by the time the guy puts on a show on the West Coast and they don't watch him play.

No votes should be allowed to be submitted until all the games are played period. Also McCaffrey deserved the award over Henry. Yes, Henry had nice numbers but he came nowhere close to giving as much as McCaffrey did to his team. There are 3 phases to the game & Henry only contributed to 1. McCaffrey legitimately was without question the main cog on 2 of 3 phases in the game.

Every Heisman year, I wait for them to announce their mistake in the 1997 Heisman and give it to the rightful owner, Peyton Manning. Charles Woodson was hardly a 2 way player. 4 plays on offense a game is not a 2 way player.
