Saw Star Wars in the theatre last night. Really good! That's one you wanna see in the theatre with all the great sound.

DiCaprio shouldn't have gotten best actor, as he did virtually no acting in the film.

Im with Zit. Way too long. The took a true story and made it totally unbelievable. DiCaprio was much better in both The Aviator and The Wolf Of Wall Street. The Indian attack and the bear scene were both examples of great film making. Other than that, dissapointing. Way too many "pretty" shots of the mountains. A very slow film.

agreed. good visuals but glad it didn't take home many trophies on the big day. then again not sure why Mad Max did....

i thought the best 4 of 2016 were Steve Jobs, Hateful Eight, Room, and The Big Short. IMO Fassbender should have won Best Actor

I agree with most everybody here about the Revenant. I thought it was overrated, and we all pretty much said so before the Oscars. Spotlight deserved to win, but I wouldn't have been disappointed if the Big Short had won. I liked that movie quite a bit. DiCaprio has had much better roles than the Revenant and didn't really deserve to win. But it was kind of like Scorsese when he won for The Departed. He made much better movies before that like Goodfellas and Raging Bull. So I think Hollywood treated it like career awards for them...

And the revanant was the best movie of the year by far if you ask me. I saw every movie that was up for best picture and this one takes the cake. It was way better than Spotlight which a lot people said should have won. The visuals and the directing were electrifying and DiCaprio truly became that character. It was brutal, raw, rich, and intense. Fantastic movie and one of a kind.

movies are like music, food, women etc. We all have our own tastes. No right or wrong.

The Revenant was the best movie I have seen in a long time. DiCaprio was amazing. I bought it. All of it. The struggle. His relationship with his son. The revenge. He was believable. The story was excellent and original.

IMO opinion, movies are getting worse every year (with always the few exceptions of course), while TV series are getting much better.
