From the Miami New Times;

For the second year in a row, motorcycles came to South Florida by the hundreds yesterday, popping wheelies and darting through traffic as they sped across Broward County and south into Miami. Police mostly left the mass ride alone as confused motorists took to social media in bafflement.

The ride wasn't a spontaneous ATV invasion, though — it was the second year running of a loosely organized MLK solidarity ride. Organized under social media hashtags such as #GunsDownBikesUp and #MLKrideout, the rides began as a protest last year after a popular dirt biker in Philadelphia was murdered.

Watched most of it on the News down here. It really was a mess and Yes the Cops were told to back off, because if they went to chase them, it would
start something they didn't want to handle.

BUT, what the cops did do towards the end is corner them at Gas Stations , and side streets and took 100's of ATV's, because they are not legal on the Streets
of course even a couple were Stolen ( Shocking )

When the News got to interview a few of the Bikers ( or Whatever ) they asked Why they were doing this, most of them said it Looked like Fun.
They knew nothing of the " Bikes Up, Guns Down "

I can't imagine Boston PD "standing down". Those big Irish Cops would have been clothes-lining the ones up front and making them all stop and crash out.

At least they got some of them.

I hate Miami. It's the worst place in all of Florida and its a millions times worse on mlk weekend. I guess if I had to chose between Miami and NY I would have to go Miami. Still I feel bad BAS had to be down there in that mess.

A shopping trip or restaurant visit are almost always good for a laugh in that shithole.

So many cry babies here about Miami. Most of Florida is crap except for South Florida. Once you go north of West Palm, you're pretty much in the deep south. I just visited Northern Florida and it is pathetic. So many rednecks wearing camouflage. There was a big fire coming from the woods next to I-95 while I was there. I asked what it was all about. Buddy tells me that people go into the woods there on Friday nights and get drunk. Absolutely pathetic.

Nothing wrong with going into the woods and getting drunk. Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and the panhandle are straight. Miami, Gainesville, and Orlando are the 3 places I avoid at all costs. Palm Beach, Jensen, and Stuart are all much better.
