MMA - UFC 197 C. MCGREGOR -120

This is a great spot. Rafael dos Anjos beat the cowboy who was on his last leg and didn't come to fight. dos Anjos and Anthony Pettis when to Decision (unanimous) I think he should have lost that fight. I just watched Eddie Alvarez beat down Anthony Pettis in UFC Fight Night: Dillashaw vs. Cruz.

Conor McGregor is getting better as a fighter, Coners' boxing is on another level then one else in the division , Frankie Edgar is close but he is just not as smooth and technical and is not as gifted an athlete. Conor has more weapon now then ever before; that he didn't get to show cause he knocked the fucking life out of José Aldo in 13 seconds.

~“On March 5, I will behead Rafael dos Anjos,” McGregor said. “I will drag his head through the streets of Rio de Janeiro to a parade of people, I’d imagine. It will become a national holiday also, I would imagine.

I'm the fan who pay 69$ for PPV in HD and cant wait to see the first death in the Octagon.

You think Pettis should've won the RDA fight?! Man, that fights wasn't in the least bit close. Even Pettis will tell you that. Same goes for last Saturday.Good luck and enjoy this card. I'm all over RDA in this one, though...

I was working two of the few shows where this happened (actually backstage immediately following the fight). Trust me, you don't wanna see it. (I get what you're saying, just saying)...

so so where is RDA so much weaker than Conor that it's gonna be like he's just standing there? Just curious...

Its not that Rafael dos Anjos is so much weaker its that Conor is that much stronger.

Coner will win because he doesn't sit back and repeat the same things that got him there, he keep diversify and adding tools like Bruce Lee did . How can you not recognize the evolution of his fighting skill and the changes in McGregor from just 2 years ago. He has KO or TKO 6 of his last 8 opponents who were all legit fighters. He has a fucking win over Max Holloway .

McGregor goes out and trains with everyone and he is like a sponge absorbing new systems;who is getting some of the most advanced techniques from everyone. Too many fighters stay within their camp so no one can see their weaknesses.

José Aldo was 25-1 and had never been knocked out and he was hit so hard I think he has brain damage, so now Aldo can sit next to Micky Ward and watch fights from now on from the front row.

I never said I didn't "recognize the evolution of his fighting skill". Never said he wasn't good, and he has improved in every fight, which is huge. I have my concerns about RDA myself, mainly being he drops his hands a lot, especially while being in close range. I just think he can secure the take down, has good enough jitz to keep the fight there if he so chooses, and controls enough to get the victory. However, that leads to my next concern, and that is not wearing down and running out of gas doing it by controlling like you said, the strong and bigger man. But, since this is the World Class fight game, it could easily end in less than a minute from either man...I'm roll ready to find out. that is for sure.

I enjoy watching McGregor fight as much as anyone. I hope he keeps winning because I like strikers and he is probably the best pure striker in MMA since prime Silva, but you must be thinking of a different fight in regards to RDA/Pettis. RDA won all 5 rounds of that fight and the result wasn't in question at all.

If the fight stays on its feet I think Conor probably picks RDA apart but he showed enough holes in his takedown defense vs Mendes that a bigger, pressure fight might be able to keep him off his feet.

McGregor “The Notorious" will make history by becoming the only fighter in the UFC to hold two divisional titles at the same time.

MM who do you like CM or RDA
RDA. My only concerns are he can get a little wild with the punches and leave his hands down, and possibly cardio from trying to control the bigger man in the championship rounds. Think he's the overall better fighter, though. Hope it's spotlighted to be true March 5th. Really looking forward to it...

What about Bader/Johnson?

Johnson seems like a clear candidate to falloff after coming up short vs Cormier. Always had motivation issues and Bader could control the fight with his wrestling.

Johnson seems like the type of fighter you would never wanna back at 3-1.

Agree, I won't lay that kinda juice on AJ, ever. He should pull out the W, but def a little value in Bader at those odds.

I actually think there is a little value in Rothwell at these odds, May play small for the helluvit play...
