Lowest price ticket on StubHub is down to $2650 this means that street tickets are even cheaper because the seller doesn't have to pay a commission. Wouldn't be surprised if there are people selling tickets in SF and Santa Clara hotels at around $2000 a ticket. The face value for the cheapest tickets is $850.

I thought I was paying a lot of my Super Bowl 43 tickets when I paid $1350 per. That looks like a hell of a bargain now.

Last year's cheapest ticket in AZ was going for around 5k. Just crazy.

I paid $2k per ticket SB47 in NO. Had them paid for with a nice moneyline bet the week before though.

Maybe, or hopefully, because slowly but surely people/sports fans are tiring of the hypocritical, Nonsense Football League (NFL), No Freakin Logic (NFL), or whatever else you wanna call it these days...

A lot of it has to do with who is playing in the big game. If it were Green Bay, I think the prices would be higher. Bigger following for a limted number of tickets. Carolina just doesn't have the numbers.

But are they? As much as people complain about the NFL's hypocrisy, the instant-replay, the off-field behavior of players, the commercialization, the blatant pandering (women, military, breast cancer) --- the NFL's ratings & revenues keep going up up up.

No different than people complaining about xyz-politician <insert politician="" here="">--- and yet the politician stays in office for 40 years.</insert>

And don't forget their stance against gambling, but all for DFS, which is gambling, and talk of placing a team in London where ppl are allowed to bet on sports freely, as we should be here.

But yes you're right & just wishful thinking that ppl have had it with the NFL's antics.

Too bad enough pol don't have the balls & willpower to take a stand against things...

Price dropped to $2200 each for a pair of tickets on StubHub early this afternoon. Someone snapped them up when I just checked. Currently $2699 each is lowest price.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - For a mere $3,000, you can attend the Super Bowl.
That's the lowest price of a ticket to the big game on Sunday, according to an executive from the online ticket marketplace StubHub.
Prices are holding steady, said Jason Deppen, StubHub's director of field operations.
"We're seeing prices as low as $3,000 to get in, so we are talking upper corner, upper end zone. Those prices are hovering around $3,000. The average price we're seeing - $4,500, $4,700 - and prices get up to into the tens of thousands depending on suite levels, and lower sidelines of course," Deppen said.

StubHub has already sold nearly 5,000 tickets, and it expects sales to reach 6,000 before kickoff, Deppen said.
"We have not seen a lot of downward trend movement, which we have seen in the past at other Super Bowls. I don't know if I expect it to go too much down on how much inventory is left on game day," Deppen said.
To sweeten the pot, StubHub is offering Fan Fair for buyers shelling out the big bucks. The company rented out the Great America amusement park before the game.
"This is actually a free experience for any StubHub customer, so if you buy your ticket on StubHub for the Super Bowl, this is a gif to you back from us. It's a little surprise and delight, and something we like to do for all of our fans," said Justin Finn, the company's head of event marketing.
