#522 Georgetown -14 1/2 -110 (2)

St. Johns at 7-17 (0-11) and 8-15 ats scoring at 66.7 ppg giving up 75.3 ppg for a diff of -8.6
Georgetown at 13-11 (6-5) and 11-11 ats scoring 72.9 ppg giving up 69.7 ppg for a diff of 3.3

Line is right where it should. Almost every stat fav's GT. If the shooting stats hold close to true in this one then there is a good shot at a GT cover.

St Johns shooting 39.3% fg, 64.7% ft, and 32.8% from 3 pt land averaging 6.4 a game.
George shooting 43.7% fg, 75.4% ft, and 35.6 % form 3 pt land averaging 8 a game.

A big advantage at the ft line for GT shooting 11% higher than their opponent is from the stripe.

GT won the first meeting this year over St John's by 93-73. I know GT has lost 3 straight games. The last two on the road at Butler and Seton Hall. I'm hoping they feel the urgency to come out strong against a weak team at home and a major conference rival.

There is a reason why St J are 8-15 ats and only 3-7 ats away form home. They just aren't very good this year. Mullens will get his own recruits in next year and they will I improve, but until then teams better kick them while their down.

I'm sure hoping Sr. Thompson has had a little talk with Jr. and I'm hoping GT is ready to get on track.

#526 Duke -4 -105 (2)

Louisville at 19-4 (8-2) and 10-9 ats scoring 79.0 ppg giving up 59.8 ppg for a diff of 19.1
Duke at 17-6 (6-4) and 11-11 ats scoring 84.8 ppg giving up 71.6 ppg for a diff of 13.3

DIff of 6, Duke worth as high as I give at home 5. lie could be close to a pick or -1. Yet we have the unranked team spotting the generous +4 to the ranked team. How many are going to jump on Louis and the points. I mean look, everyone has just about written Duke off just because they fell out of the rankings for the first time in a long time. I know everyone on here has seen the crazies at Duke at that place. Louis coming in off blasting a 0-10 conf team in Boston College at home. They did it without their stud Damien Lee. (bruised knee) If you go to Louisville basketball webpage there is a nice post game interview with Lee. He talks about his injury, and the importance of finishing out the season strong. He said the goal was not to lose again at home. He didn't mention anything about goals on the road. I just found that interesting. About playing in this game, ee said it depends on how he feels.
I'm playing tis game counting on him to play, and if he doesn't that should be another advantage for me. I believe he sat out against the dog team Boston College because they knew they would win the game and wanted to keep him healthy as possible for the Duke game.

Anyway, I always like Duke at home, especially when the spread is within reason and this is a winnable game for Duke. Duke has been playing better abd this is the 2nd game of in a row at home. They should be well rested. In the last 4 games Duke has shot 42.7% from 3 pt land and are averaging 10.3 a game. They have been on fire from out there.

Duke is 5th in the nation in scoring at 84.8 ppg. They also have the leading ft shooter (Kennard) in the nation at 92.2%.

I don't want to take anything away from this Louisville team. They are tough on D and will try to harass the Duke guards. Duke only averages 10 to's a game.

If Louis has a weakness it would have to be on the road: 0-5 ats last 5 games on the road

I'm going to take chance and run with the Devil's tonight as Louis can be beat on the road in conf play and this is one tough venue to play at.

#530 Clemson P -110 (2)

Notre Dame at 16-7 (7-4) and 9-11-1 ats scoring 78.5 ppg giving up 70.1 ppg for a diff of 8.4
Clemson at 14-9 (7-4) and 12-7 ats scoring 69.1 ppg giving up 63 ppg for a diff of 6.1

I feel like I'm getting a little value in this game. I have Clemson at -2. I will gladly take this Clemson team at home this season. They have won 5 straight conf games at home including w's over Pitt, Miami, Duke, Louisville and Florida St. This won't be easy as the Irish are coming off a big W at home over NC. I think they will find this Clemson D a lot tougher than Carolina's D.

Nnoka is coming off a 17 point game, 12 rebs, and 8 blocked shots. Clemson defends out on the perimeter so hopefully the Irish will find most of their 3's contested.

I was surprised to see that Clemson is hitting as many 3's a game as ND and has the edge in ft shooting.

This is also the 1st of 3 games in a row at home for Clemson. It's a good shot at making a statement in conf where they still stand a shot at catching Louis and NC, or at least moving up higher in the standings. Although the Irish won both games last year, they did only beat Clemson by 2 points at Clemson. I think Clemson is much better than last year and I fully expect wellness arena to be rocking and hoping that they can have about 12,000 strong for this big Monday night ESPNU game.

ND starting 5 are all averaging over 10 a game. They have played in front of venues like this many of times. They have arguably one of the best PG in the nation in Jackson. This won't be easy for either team. I just have that gut feeling the Irish will be going down just like a lot of teams have been throughout this conf basketball season mostly on the road in hostile territory.

Good luck everyone

I have leans on Mercer and Furman but no action as of right now.

Still trying to find out if these two yo yo's are playing or not. I can't imagine them not playing in this game, unless whatever they did wrong was really bad. I'm hoping the coachn just sent them a message and sat them out against Citadel.

I went to the Macon newspaper and found a article on the game. Mostly talked about how spent the team was with the death of the team mate last week.. How they went out and played that Citadel game is beyond me. The article didn't mention what the two suspended players did wrong. It just they were suspended before the Citadel game and coach wouldn't talk about when they will play again. Very strange, almost as if their hiding something.

Anyway, I'm staying away from this game.

GL tonight! I'm going to go take in the Clemson game tonight myself. They've played so well in "The Well", I don't know if they wanna go 40 min back down the road to Littlejohn once renovations are complete.

Haha, will do, because it's funny you say that. My buddy I'm going with still haggles the crap out of the refs like we did while in College. It's fun, most of time...see you at the ticket window to cash those winners...

Are you going 2 units from now on? Or just feel strongly about these specific ones today? Thanks U.

I do like the 3 games to be putting more weight on them. I will be ready for half times if I need outs or want to go for a possible middle.

My advice would be to play them only if you feel strong about them. It's a grind! The losses won't wound me to bad.

good luck VB
