Santa Clause Bernie is the man...especially if you want "free" stuff. Bernie
is promising "free" college, "free" health insurance, "free" food, "free" clothes,
"free" housing, "free" car for family of four, "free" cable TV, "free" lawyer
fees, "free" tickets to your favorite sports team, "free" 3 week vacation with
time and half salary.

Damn Bernie, you got my vote over the "Jail Bird".

The guy is old as dirt. He likely will be dead by time election rolls around. Even if he's not dead, he will likely not win. Even if he does win, his policies will take forever to get through Congress and by time one had a chance to get through he would either be dead, deported, impeached, or not re-elected.

If he wants to help the poor so much, stop wasting campaign money for a losing cause.

I'm not a Bernie supporter, but I'm gonna play devil's advocate here. From what I've seen Bernie isn't campaigning on socializing the whole market place, or giving more food stamps to free loaders. He's campaigning on health care and education. While some see giving health care and education as "giving free stuff" others might see it as an investment, as healthy educated people make better citizens. They contribute more, vote smarter, work, are more productive, pay taxes. People that start off in life with a crazy amount of debt, because of education and health care are far less likely to get ahead, and people that are uneducated and unhealthy are more likely to be on food stamps, commit crimes, live in poverty ect ect ect.

I don't think he has the right idea either but his proposals are just a natural reaction to higher ed. and health care being screwed up industries for a long time now. Considering how essential these industries are to a first world society, it is pretty bad and can't really continue on the current trajectory for much longer. A decent amount of his supporters probably know his plan isn't very practical (maybe they couldn't exactly articulate why but they realize it is pie in the sky) but they figure these industries and institutions have been a failure.

It's kinda like if you've had no QB for your entire franchise history, why not draft Manziel? Can't get much worse.

with the current structure of the government and its social services, it makes little sense to not invest into your own country
you only can exploit workers in other countries for so long before it backfires.

If we deported/ imprisoned/ worked to exhaustion our bad elements, the problems would go away very quickly.

There are some in the US that have free housing, free utilities, free food, free insurance with only $12 premium a year for 100% coverage on everything, even free cable. They have no desire to work. Can live off $50 a month and then use their meager SS income or unemployment, or cash assistance for their 6 kids from 4 different "people". Talk to some of these people and you will see the complete bullshitness of this system. Even the amount food stamps pays out is too high. They don't need all that $$ so what they do is go buy steak and lobster, and even margherita mix. These people even get free cabs to go see a Dr. that they don't have to pay for. This is what happens when you get a foreign Kenyan Muslim calling shots. The guys name is a combination of the biggest terrorist to live and the most brutal dictator to live.
