9,000 people were displaced from their home because some people think there are aliens out in space........I do think something crazy will come out of this within 20 years........we have been conditioned on radio, TV & books & magazines for many years.
Do I believe in aliens? No I don't, but someone does, or they're using it as an excuse to spend an extreme amount of money on technology that may be used against us.

I used to think that since space is endless, that there HAS to be other life out there.
And even though i still think it's possible, i dont feel it's likely based really on only the 2 theories possible.
A. If there is a God & the bible is real , it's almost certain he only created us on Earth
B. If we were created by chance, the odds are so astronomical in everything coming together so perfectly to make it happen, that it's virtually impossible that it has happened elsewhere

What if the "sightings" around the world are the equivalent of kids here, stealing their parents car (saucer in this case ) and going for nightly spin.

But if there is, and they do have or ever have the capability of reaching us, we had better hope they're civilized or everything we see in the movies will come true as it'sa no-brainer we are no match...

And their opinion of us could also go 2 ways.Obviously, if they have the technology to reach us, then they are also wise enough to know that we are no threat to them & never will be.
Or....if they have indeed been studying us, then they also know that we cant even live in peace amongst one another, and figure we couldn't with them either...
Ancient aliens theory, I think its disinformation, part of a script like another poster pointed out. Just like I think the terrorism threat is largely fabricated. Werhner von Braun said on his deathbed that first we'd use the russians, then terrorism, and finally aliens. That doesnt mean I dont believe in other life whether thats interstellar or interdimensional, but I do think a vast majority of the ufo phenominon is human. Drifting toward the op point, Im not sure that telecope has to be all that big. We can look at Mars and possibly find signs of whatever was there before it was nuked. NASA has known since the 70's Viking Mission than xenon 129 exists in the martian atmosphere. Thats not a natural phenominon. Somebody nuked Mars from space 250-500 million years ago...and this comes from somebody that worked on that mission, an expert in the weapons field.
