Love watching his runs on film....only RB ever to average more than 100 yards a game during his entire career....Got to watch him live when I was just a kid growing up rooting for the eagles and their horrible teams, except 1960 when they beat the packers for the NFL title at Franklin Field...

The reason he isn't mentioned a lot with the greats of the past (other than his career was so long ago) is because he quit at an early age. He didn't feel the need to get career rushing yards.

I met Jim Brown one time. I was staying in a weekly motel in Anaheim in the Spring of 1992 after getting laid off. I don't know if he was staying there but he was driving an old truck and asked if I would take a look at it. It was running rough. I told him it needed a tune-up. He said "that's what I thought".
