</aside> The first evidence of the branding change emerged late last month as the casino
swapped out its 80-foot LED sign along Interstate 71.
On Wednesday morning, there weren’t any guests on the casino floor, but it was abuzz with workers preparing for its re-debut. Hundreds of newly named Jack Entertainment (
formerly Rock Gaming) employees were in town to do everything from switching out hard drives in slot machines to counting new chips and changing out signage.

To be exact, the workers had to bring in 500,000 new chips, nearly 50,000 fresh decks of cards and 1,300 new pairs of dice. All of those items had to first be inspected by
Ohio Casino Control Commission officials.
Other employees worked to swap out the technology on nearly 2,000 slot machines, put new felt on 123 tables, switch out 250 signs and train the casino’s nearly 1,200 employees on all of the changes.
Some of the biggest changes customers will see when they return to the gaming floor will be at the restaurants. The former Jack Binion’s steakhouse will become Prism Steakhouse, a new pizza concept that allows customers to choose their own toppings similar to the way a Chipotle line works will replace the former pizza concept, and Spread Buffet will become Market Street Buffet.

</aside> In addition, the former Diamond Club will now be called The Library, and the concert venue formerly known as The Shoe will be dubbed The Backyard.
Members of the casino’s loyalty club will now be part of Club JACK, which will have partners in Las Vegas and the Caribbean to provide trips along with other benefits that will rack up faster thanks to a new points system. Players will also be able to use a Bonus Play at a slot machine immediately rather than waiting for a certificate to be mailed or going to a separate kiosk.
One other change that will be noticeable to many Cincinnatians will be completed next week as the Cincinnati Reds leave for a road trip. All of the signage at Great American Ball Park referencing the casino will be changed to display the JACK brand before the team’s next homestand.
If you’re curious why all of this is happening, it’s because Rock Gaming
purchased Caesar’s stake in the casino along with three other properties, including Turfway Park in Florence, in November. Rock Gaming
renamed itself JACK Entertainment and announced plans to rebrand its casino properties in February. Its casino in Cleveland recently reopened with changes similar to those happening in Cincinnati.
