Non- Gamblers

Can a gambler be friends , I mean really good friends, with someone who never gambled?

Personally I know many gamblers and a few of them are scumbags but for the most part most of the them are really sharp.

I respect their opinion and can relate to them easier .

I can only think of one person I know who I have confidence/trust in that is not a gambler.

I know plenty of succesfull non-gamblers...but I dont trust them for some odd reason

I have plenty of Non Gambling friends who i'm close to.

We will talk about Sports and other non-related topics, just no gambling talk which is fine by me.

How does gambling alter a personality or friendship? I have many friends that don't gamble and few know I do. You are definitely in the minority by not trusting a non gambler because they don't gamble, that just sounds asinine to me for the reasons you state.

The non gambling friends are always interested at what me & my sports betting friends like in the derby, super bowl, etc......I have friends that just play the lotto.

Its refreshing to talk to non gambling people, but I also love talking to gamblers bout sports betting.......BUT the biggest losers I've encountered are horse players.. ..know a guy that bets $1,000 to show on heavy favs & gets back $2.10......makes me think he's retarded. He lost 40k last year doing this......he made $450 profit last weekend doing that, I believe he risked $7,000 & hit a few $2.20 & $2.10......I tried explaining risk vs reward & explain the odds, but it doesn't sink thru......

So my better convos come from non gamblers.
