LAS VEGAS (AP) — The man known to millions of cable TV viewers as Chumlee on the reality show "Pawn Stars" was being held in a Las Vegas jail late Wednesday following his arrest on felony weapon and drug charges.

Police said Austin Lee Russell was arrested Wednesday afternoon when officers searching on a warrant in a sexual assault investigation found methamphetamine, marijuana and at least one gun at his southwest Las Vegas home.

The 33-year-old Russell wasn't booked on a sex-crime allegation. Officer Larry Hadfield, a department spokesman, said that part of the investigation is continuing.

Records showed Russell was being held on 19 drug possession charges and one weapon charge. His bail was set at $62,000.
It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer.

Weed should be legal in sin city......never understood everything that goes on in Vegas, & weed isn't legal.

But that the least of his worries.....the sexual assault allegation is very serious & you would think the gun charge would be too.......they're stacking on 19 drug charges?? Was he a dealer?

Medical is legal here, they just opened a shop down the street from. There's a bill to make it completely legal and it's expected to pass, and the legal weed here according to the bill will be much more free market than other states, though licenses will be hard to get.

Just a wild guess, but I'm thinking Chumlee isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer...

[h=1]Chumlee had a cache of drugs, weapons at the time of his arrest[/h]
With "Pawn Stars" cast member Chumlee getting sent to jail last week, police conducted a search of his home and their findings would make Scarface blush.

According to a now-released arrest report from the reality TV star's home, authorities found quite a haul of drugs and firearms.

Celebrity website TMZ released a list of what the police found and said it was "consistent with a drug dealer's setup," although Chumlee has denied that he deals narcotics.
There is allegedly a party spot in Chumlee's Las Vegas home that is called the "Chum Chum" room, where police believe drug use took place.

The documents reveal that Chumlee, real name Austin Russell, had 1/4 pound of marijuana in a plastic bag, as was well 2 more jars full of weed and another smaller bag of pot.
Police also found 7 clear capsules with 1.7 grams of methamphetamine powder and 17 Xanax bars.

TMZ says Chumlee admitted to smoking "a lot of weed," but said he isn't involved in distribution. He says he simply buys large quantities of the illegal-in-most-states plant for sheer convenience, given the large amount that he smokes.

Police also found what they believe to be signs of cocaine use in the "Chum Chum" room, including a clear plastic baggie with white residue and also a rolled up $1 bill with white residue. The room also featured a stripper pole.

And then there were the firearms… Documents show that police seized a dozen guns, but only four of them were registered to the reality TV star.

Chumlee's arrest on March 9 came as police were investigating him for an alleged sexual assault case. He has not been charged in any assault, but authorities are still investigating. The report states that officers took his bedding and drew blood from him at the jailhouse.

In a statement, "Pawn Stars" co-star Rick Harrison said, "We don't have details yet but are here to help Chumlee however we can."

Chumlee's attorney David Chesnoff, who has handled a multitude of celebrity cases, including Bruno Mars' cocaine arrest and Britney Spears' marriage annulment, previously said that his client would fight all the charges against him.

He is due in court on May 23.

He may not need to register the other 8 guns, depends on when they were made...so, the guy had some weed all in the same room and a few pills and stuff. Whooped tee doo. Typical guy who enjoys drugs recreationally in his own home. At least he worked and has his own house and bills. Popos acting like they busted Noreaga or some shit...
