The Miami Dolphins have signed Denver Broncos restricted free-agent running back C.J. Anderson to a four-year, $18 million offer sheet, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Denver now has five days to match the offer or will lose Anderson, a key piece in the team's Super Bowl triumph last month. He split carries with Ronnie Hillman throughout the season.

Lamar Miller, the former starter in Miami, officially signed with the Houston Texans as a free agent on Thursday.

Smart move for both sides I'd say

Let's see Denver matches. I'm leaning towards they won't. This is a better move than giving homegrown Lamar Miller $6m a year. I like what Tannenbaums doing. Not many Dolphin fans agree.

I would be interested to know how much of the 18m is guaranteed. If it's 12m or less, Broncs would be smart to lock him up and then continue building defense
