UNI did some bad things but the refs were clueless down the end.

The refs? They had nothing to do with that loss. UNI continuing to throw inbounds passes to the corners lost them that game. You have to get the ball to the middle of the floor. That's 6th grade basketball stuff. It's not a referees job to bail UNI out.

Apparently you didn't read the first part where I said UNI did some dumb things. To say the refs had nothing to do with it is just as clueless. Hell they even missed a travel on the UNI guy in the corner.

Anytime you throw a but in there, you're trying to shift blame. The Caruso and 1 was a soft call, but beyond that this on UNI looking like they had never been pressed before.

First game I thought of when UNI collapsed was this:

UNI somehow surpassed that collapse. Unreal

The refs always do that garbage, where near the end of games. The team that is down and trying to come back, go to the basket and if a player is anywhere near him they will call a "And-1" for a 3 point play. To make the game have a dramatic finish. When Carusso went up for that layup, that dude for UNI didn't even touch him. And of course they call the foul and the basketball for the "And-1" and the crowd goes crazy. That is all B.S. and setup. That type of nonsense has no business in the game of basketball. These refs call anything as a foul, and send guys to the line to win games instead of the games being decided on the court.

In the NBA playoffs I will say they don't call that garbage. The refs don't call those nonsense calls, they let the players decide it on the court. But this NCAA tournament have been horrendous calls by the refs on foul calls and on block/charge calls. All you have to do is run into a guy and all to the ground or flip your head back as you drive to the basket and they will call a foul for you. I hate to see that stuff.

well said. Except they do it in the nba playoffs too. Nets/Toronto series a couple of years ago Tim Donaghy a crooked ref who faced jail time said before that series that the refs would rig it for Nets to advance to play Lebron even though Toronto was a better team. But the New York/Miami series was too good to pass up at the time. The series ended in game 7 AT Toronto where Deron Williams fouled the fuck out of Lowry in the final seconds and nothing was called because it would of made Toronto shoot potential series clinching free throws.

It happens on all levels of basketball because it is the easiest sport to manipulate. You saw them try to manipulate a college football game last season against one of those undefeated teams I forget who and it was on every espn show questioning the officials. They don't want that attention but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do for the bread. Think it was like nebraska or Iowa. who the fuck wants to see either of those teams in the final 4? But it is all about ratings and drama...so they can get the, " did you see that game?!?!?!" Now who wont tune in for Texas A&M/ Oklahoma.

+1 to the "well said" for goldenarrow and another "well said" to you Mob.

Donaghy is actually the straw that broke the camel's back for me as to why I stopped betting NBA.

What he did to in Suns vs. Spurs killed any joy that I found in betting NBA.

Been years ago now, YEARS and I still feel as strongly uninterested in betting NBA as I did directly after that game.

That was ages before Donaghy got exposed to. When he was outed I'm like: "Wow. Can't believe it actually came to light."

To goldenarrow's post: I needed A&M to win so I was thankful for it in the moment but agree the call was shady af,

...when Carusso went up for that layup, dude from UNI got called.

You'd think we'd be pleased by these "manipulations" as they'd help us on ATS Dogs.

I guess I am not good at "spotting the spots" where they are gonna do this.

Common Say is that Sharps are on more ATS Dogs, Squares on more Faves ATS.

Obviously there are a few guys that are good at spotting the spots.
