Former Redskins QB Robert Griffin III is close to a deal that would bring him to Cleveland, a team source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Sometimes you just have to ask "what are you thinking"

The Browns and a black stupid quarterback that likes to run. I see success.

What's crazy is the people that make these nutcase decisions have 20 plus years experience.

It's like Dan Snyder. I won't call anyone that is smart enough to accumulate nearly a billion dollars an idiot but the average poster on the Rx can see some stuff that is so blatantly obvious yet an NFL owner can't. It will always blow my mind. I get it. Not every year a Brady, Rogers or Manning are around.

If I owned a team, I would be positioning myself for Josh Rosen in 2018. It would seem like they are doing this but through the years I have seen some crazy decisions. I don't think the Browns of all people are smart enough

Two year deal worth 15 mill. / 3.5 mill signing bonus / 6.75 mill guaranteed.

Browns didn't seem to spend a whole lot for him.

Browns should sell that #2 draft pick to the highest bidder. Browns need improvement in just about every position.

Robert Griffin III posted a 75.6 Total QBR in 2012 (3rd in NFL behind P. Manning/Brady). His QBR is 39.0 since:

Adam Schefter still expects Cleveland to draft a quarterback with the second overall pick in the draft despite reaching an agreement with Robert Griffin III.

Hopefully that Cleveland offensive line will protect him better than they did in Washington.

They overpaid. 7.5 million for a running track athlete. He is worth $10 a year and that is pending a brain scan.

When he lost his legs he lost his game.

Same would happen to a few other NFL qb's in same situation...
This. The question is has 2 years off given him a chance to get his legs, and his confidence in them, back? If so, great deal for Cleve. If not, more of the same for RG3 and Cleve QB futility. Worth the gamble for an otherwise dead franchise. No QB in this draft is remotely ready to play, and this is better than starting Josh McCown at QB.

15 mill is nothing for a NFL team. Cleveland is usually millions under the salary cap every year anyway. No risk here.
