And these loons running Yale vote for Democrats and support all the spending programs that created the budget problems in the state.

Richard Jacob, the school’s associate vice president for federal and state relations, said in written testimony that the bill and a second one that would tax college property are a “specific attack on higher education.”

“The proposed taxes on Yale would diminish the university’s ability to carry out its charitable mission and to enable and support growth in New Haven,” Jacob wrote. “Yale’s generous financial aid policies, which enable Yale College students to avoid any loans, and which waive any parent contribution for low-income students, exist because of the endowment.”

Good. I hope the proposal passes and the state eventually bankrupts the university.

What, and taxes on individuals and companies don't diminish their ability to expand, conduct R+D (the true engine which drives economic development/growth), etc?

This reminds me of noted dimocrap and documented moron Alec Baldwin. A few years ago, the city of New York wanted to implement some kind of tax on filmmakers who shot movie scenes within city limits. Alec Baldwin responded (paraphrasing) "No, that's a bad idea because it will discourage filmmakers from shooting movies in this great city."

Wow, really? Imagine that. I never would have guessed such a connection between high taxes and low motivation for investment existed. Tell us more!

Another example of dimocraps being very generous with other people's money. The dipshits at Yale who have voted dim all their lives (probably the majority of them) deserve everything that comes their way. Sorry, lads...time to pony up for that "common good!"
