Let me preface and say these odds are from a local book and not Vegas. These are some odds that really pop out to me as being "odd."
Cubs to win WS +500
Cardinals to win WS +1500
fair enough, however their respective odds to win their division is both matched at +200
Similarly,
Royals +920 to win WS and Indians +2500 to win WS...
However my book has the Indians a slight favorite over the royals to win their division (+160 to +175)...
The point is, if you do not win the division you must play in a one game elimination game for the wild card, and your chances of winning are significantly less in the wild card spot than a division winner... Interesting...
on another note,
the O/U for most home runs is 44.5,,, the favorite is Giancarlo Stanton, +370, meanwhile Pujols is +5000 and hit 40 bombs last year. Some decent value with the old timer perhaps...
i also Like Miggy to hit over 90.5 RBIs, as well as pitchers to have under 12.5 triples...
