Yet another opening day in MLB. My Phillies are in first place and there is nobody any better than them right now. All kidding aside, I think the Phillies and OVER are going to be strong bets all season long. You will see me on them often. Phillies offense has shown signs of actually being good, but the pitching may be horrible.

I always try not to play the big favs on straight bets. I do however like to play two big favs together on a parlay which brings it down to almost even money.

3* (0-0) (even)
2* (0-0) (even)
1* (1-2) (-1.15)
TOTAL (1-2) (-1.15)

Could kick myself. Liked KC all day and then switched to the Mets. 1-2 dropping 1.15 units on opening day to start the season. On to Opening Day 2. As much as I might feel I like some early games, I am not going larger than 1* the first week.

1* Phillies +151 vs Cincinnati………………Everybody talks about how bad the Phillies are. Well the Reds only finished one game ahead of them last year. Too much value to pass up.

1* Over 7.5 (-105) Phillies/Cincinnati……………Phillies and Franco going to hit the ball this year, but their pitching will give up plenty. I think this flies over the total.

1* Baltimore -119 vs Minnesota…………O’s have a nice history in home openers.

1* Over 9 (-110) Minnesota/Baltimore…………….both teams can hit and pitchers don’t see dominate to me.

1* PARLAY RISKING 1.00 TO WIN 1.44 UNITS
Washington -173 vs Atlanta
Arizona -183 vs Colorado

Still looking at more, but probably done until the night games. Good Luck Everybody!!
