Ohio State has a remarkable record when playing the third game of the
season. The Buckeyes are 21-2 straight up over the years when playing
their third game. The two losses were both road games at USC (2008)
and Miami (2011).

This season's third game is at Oklahoma. Could we be looking at a third
loss for the Buckeyes. Should be a great early season game.

I think it will be a third loss as those 21 wins no doubt came against the likes of mac schools.

How does OU look in 2016? Should be a great game.
OU looks pretty good. But like they showed when they went up against a more elite athletic team like Clemson, they get overpowered by the bigger talented teams. tOSU definitely falls into that category. The only thing going for OU in this spot is their experience and playing in Norman. But Meyer still has a way of coaching up young teams and getting them to play at an elite level pretty fast. Plus I think tOSU will have the better defense in this game despite the experience.

Clover, I'm not very fond of Hillary either, but whether you wish to believe it or not, she's probably the most middle of the road candidate in this election. Especially if it comes to fixing the deficit. I guarantee you the other 3 candidates are going to be spending some government dollars if they are elected POTUS. But I'm sick of arguing politics with Repubs. It's like talking to a brick wall. And this isn't the forum for it. As for tOSU/OU I'll have to see how these teams look and progress after the spring practices. But I can tell you the bigger and more athletic team will be Ohio St. The Big 12 just isn't very physical overall right now. Texas is probably the most physical team in the conference. Part of the reason they beat OU and Baylor last year..

(I agree GS, no more political references in the CFB Forum from me.)

Using an ESPN report on returning starters, it shows Ohio State only returning
6 starters, 3 on each side of the ball. I didn't realize OSU had lost so much experience.

The same report has Oklahoma with 13 starters back with 7 on offense and 6
on defense. May be a good time early in the season for meeting the Buckeyes.

Another strong stat for Ohio State. Try 16-1-1 against the spread after playing
Penn State. The only loss (ATS) was to Iowa in 2009. The tie was also Iowa in
2010.

Teams played since 2003 after the Penn State game: Michigan State, Iowa, Illinois,
Wisconsin, Michigan, Northwestern, Purdue. Might be worthwhile to make a note
us this year's game against Rutgers. 16-1-1 ATS is pretty damn strong.

Dancing about Hillary......Why would anyone want to do that. Out of curiosity, I wonder if she has ever been to a football game.
