If what I read is correct, the Rams were not near as dumb as the Redskins. Just lose next years #1 (Rams are somewhat competitive so shouldn't be really high pick) and a couple #2's.

Taking Goff or Wentz?

Titans have a chance to get 7 starters from this trade. I think they have 6 of the first 78 picks or something like that.

The South could be on the rise. Jags are better than people think, Texans won the division although because Luck was hurt.

Don't know the statistics but it seems every time a team trades up, it just does not work out. A lot of excitement at the time but the end result is usually less wins.

Browns trade up for Quinn: NO
RG3 trade: Big NO
Jets trade up for Sanchez: Big NO

Meanwhile Bellichick seems to always trade down because the 2nd round picks have real value. They are starters generally without starter money their first 4 years

This was a great trade for the Titans. They have 4 top 50 picks.

Titans now have six of top 76 picks. Per ESPN Stats and info: We found 3 instances in the common draft era (1970) of teams having 7 picks in the top 76: 1991 Cowboys, 1982 Patriots, 1975 Rams. A few more instances of 6: 1989 Rams, 1986 Giants, 1985 Bills, 1982 Saints, 1976 Lions, 1974 Colts, 1970 Cowboys.

L.A.'s trade with Tennessee was the first time a team has moved to the top of the draft since the Falcons traded up for Michael Vick in 2001. The Rams also jumped to the top of the draft for Orlando Pace in '97.

Pretty obvious that the Titans git the best of this, but you can't really quantify how bad it was until you know what position they pick in 2017

This throws a wrench in the first several picks.

Defenders will now fall a little which could prompt even more trades...

If this #1 pick is a pro bowl QB(or similar stats) within 4-5 years, the rams can justify it. Anything else = titans owned this trade. Even if he is apro bowler, the titans could have 2-3 pro bowl type players out of this trade within 4-5 years and still win the trade.

Titans are freerollin here, while the rams needs 1 out on the river.

Rams (7-9 in 2015) have best prior-season’s record by team with No. 1 pick since 1991

(Cowboys, 7-9 in 1990; traded w/ Patriots for No. 1)
