What's the usual attendence? I think new coaching staffs usually create an excitement.

And young Jacob Eason looked like a seasoned vet.

The kid has a Gun for an arm. Georgia has a long term QB if he stays healthy.

tOSU had over 100K, and they sold the Spring Game out to see Alabama vs Alabama. Those two teams attendance records have to impress any HS recruit. Meanwhile LSU had 21,000 (generous head count). Pretty paltry by SEC standards..

I've not been able to watch the UGA Spring game yet but I have a few questions for you albatross. Thanks in advance for answering them

1. Did Eason play against the #1 defense?

2. Did Eason make some legit throws or was the play calling set up for him to succeed and gain confidence? I'm sure the real answer is somewhere in between so if you can somehow put a percentage on each scenario that would be appreciated

3. What offenses will UGA struggle against this year? Power or HUNH?

Thanks and GL to your Dawgs this year

There can be some serious recruiting mojo from these spring games.

LSU must have some serious fan apathy. I guess they're depressed they couldnt get rid of Les. Even Auburn has gone down 3 straight years now.

Side note, how many U's are charging for attendence?

Albatross will have a better inside take than I will but here's my view to your questions.

1. Yes, Eason played against the No. 1 defense.

2. Yes, Eason mixed it up between swing passes, sideline routes and downfield shots.

3. Any really good offense unless they improve. The young defense has a lot of holes
replacing seven "key contributors" from a year ago. That's tough to overcome. The first
team offense put up 331 yards on the first team defense in the spring game. 270 yards
through the air.

Ohio State charges $5. They did not start charging for attendance until Jim Tressel got there, he was responsible for the $5 charge but all proceeds were donated to a charity of choice, I think it was started for Breast Cancer and the construction of The Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center. I don't know if they still donate the proceeds but they pulled in a little over $500,000 for the game at the gate.

For a number of schools...and you can figure the ones, recruiting is HUGE during
the spring game and activities.

1. He played against 2s. Lambert is chopped liver
He looked like the 4th best option on the team.

2. Eason made throws I have never seen an 18 year old EE make. His check downs were spot on. He looked like he has been in the program for years. The TEs, in which UGA have forgotten about, is legit. We have 3-4 guys that are bad match-up problems. Cant wait until season to see a detailed O. All that being said, Eason will have some struggles. The O line is questionable. Really need Chubb to be back to his old self, in which he is way ahead of schedule.

3. Power teams are going to be tough. UGA is thin and inexperienced at DL, a big negative in SEC play. Inside backers are solid. Outside have a ton of upside. Secondary should be solid, and we are young and deep there.

All that being said, UGA nation is bought in to Kirby and what he brings. He is changing the recruiting landscape in the state like nothing I have seen with a 1st year coach. Bright days ahead for the Dawgs....probably wont be this year, but we should be a major NC contender if this momentum keeps up. D-Rob pick up looks good right now, which would be 4 5* players in Kirbys 1st year. No complaints here.

I dont know how to embed, but it shows his game.

The pass at 2:00 mark to another EE frosh, Riley Ridley, is beautiful. You will see the 5* EE TE Isaac Nauta, who will be a stud. The pass at 7:00 mark is pretty impressive for a frosh as well. He looked good.

Georgia has some positive mojo going into the 2016 season but the Dawgs will need
it to beat out favorite Tennessee and battle it out with Florida for second or third in the
SEC East.

The SEC East will be interesting to watch this year.

Tennessee will be a tough out, but Butch can blow a lead. They def have more experience than UGA or UF. I do think UGA is still 2 years out from being serious contenders.

UT is a 15-1 odd to with the NC....seems very high....imo.
