Hey guys....I have been handicapping for a long time. Mostly baseball and football and have had my ups and downs (like most of us). We all know that it's a long road before we gain the wisdom that's needed to become a decent handicapper.
The question I have for you all is: What are the major things that each of you double check before making that final decision to place money on the game? For example: I always check the weather, check injury reports, and line movements. Some people always check the public consensus. Some people always check trend stats. What is it that you check off of your "list" before you conclude a handicap?
The reason I ask is a good friend of mine that is a poker player asked me for some advice...and before I realized it.. I realized my list has change so many times over the years that it might be a good decision to make and ACTUAL checklist of things to check before making my bets. This would be something that I would actually have on paper and do instead of trying to do it in my head and miss things.
I have always had great luck in getting feedback from all of you. And look forward to any advice you guys can offer!
