Miles said Saturday after the spring game that the ceiling is high for this year's
football team. With 18 starters back, he believes there's enough nucleus in place
where the Tigers can compete for an SEC and perhaps a national championship.
He said he was looking for something special from his team during the 2016 season.

Strong words from a coach some were trying to run off recently......................

LSU is going to be good. However, it he doesn't beat Bama and/or win the West you gotta think he's on borrowed time. I still think he's a very good coach and they'd be crazy to let him go.

Miles and LSU have no excuses this year. They are pretty much "locked and loaded"

Miles seemed very relaxed during spring drills considering some at the school wanted to
get rid of him after last season. He seems to have the attitude of "fuckem" if they want
to fire me. He's under contract through the 2019 season and has a $12.9 million buyout
if terminated. Entering his 12th year at LSU, he's won a national championship, won two
SEC championships and averaged 10 wins per season. He's 62 years old so the old coaching
clock is ticking, but if fired, he would certainly have other opportunities if he wanted to keep
coaching. At $4.3 million plus per season and a huge buyout...I'd be relaxed too.

Prevailing thought is that Miles own son, a 3-star fullback/H-back type player, even though offered, won't play for his father. I think that speaks to how Les might really see his situation.

Last I heard, Ben Miles was leaning toward Nebraska. He attended their spring game last weekend.
