Is there even a 1% chance that someone besides GS, SA, or Cleveland will win the NBA title?

Just wondering.

And if you throw in OKC is there even a .1% chance that someone else wins it all?

Not counting plane crashes or stuff like that

Of course OKC has a shot.

And injuries have been tamer this year but they can rear their ugly head at any time.

Heck you could probably remove Cleveland and the odds are still less then 1%

If Curry's ankle continues to bother him, and/or he re-tweaks it, things could change real fast.

Ok break it down.

SA/GS 93%
Cleveland/OKC 6%

Everyone else >1%

is that about right?

Clippers are better than people think but that would be a tough one.

If they were in the East they would have a good shot. As would OKC.

The betting markets disagree with this. They have GS around 57, SA/Cle around 17-18 and OKC around 6, field 2-3%

You are underrating injuries obviously. It isn't played in a simulation.

Injuries almost always have some effect. They just tend to be forgotten over time. And then obviously even if the injury didn't occur, the final result could've been the same.

I just want to see one really crazy season where a team like Houston, Dallas, Charlette, Memphis wins the whole thing

All sports are moving towards more parity in a lot of ways so it is possible.

Probably will need to wait until after GS run is over. It would be tough for a "pretty good" team to beat them. They would probably need a top-tier team to do their dirty work first.

Heat have no chance to win it all. Sorry and I am a Heat fan. Only a few teams have a chance to win it all. The officiating in the NBA guarantees it. That is why I love the hockey playoffs. Any team can win it all.
