In general, I don't like guys like this.
Wentz only started 2 years at freakin North Dakota St. and had a redshirt year. That is a huge red flag.
His career high passing yards is 335 playing against guys who are future accountants and attorneys
I have seen him here and there. I just think the jump is too much. Only a handful ever pull it off.
He probably never played against 1 future NFL pass rusher or corner.
I think Wentz will be a journeyman in this league. Expectations are low for him. The guy I worry about is Goff. Being from Cal, he will surely draw comparisons to Aaron Rodgers. He's not even close to being Rodgers. Gof is gonna be a major bust. You can quote me on that. He's got too many question marks.
I bet you he does better then manzell
Tennessee and Cleveland were smart to move down...this was pretty much like stealing imo
that's like saying the tallest midget would do well in the NBA
if these NDSU players are so phenomenal why haven't i seen one in the first round before?
this is current NFL rosters....not exactly a who's who of the Pro Bowl
North Dakota State PLAYER TEAM POSITION John Crockett Green Bay Packers Running Back Kyle Emanuel San Diego Chargers Linebacker Ramon Humber New England Patriots Linebacker Billy Turner Miami Dolphins Guard Marcus Williams New York Jets Cornerback
then there's the Alabama of FBS football:
if he is garbage wouldnt that lead to high draft picks every year?
It doesn't set your team back the way it used to because of the rookie scale. It used to be that way because you had to pay so much for them you gave them every possible chance to succeed. Now, it is easier to get rid of them. RG 3 would have been playing for the Redskins last year and not Cousins under the old deal. You just couldn't afford to sit someone making 15 million a year.
This is why the Colts really dropped the ball on Andrew Luck. They have had him for 4 years making about 5 million a year. There are a lot of back-ups that made more money than he did as a top tier qb. They had an extra 15 to 17 million in cap space that they no longer will have.
good to trade down like I mentioned earlier , but you can't do anything in the NFL with one trade that would set you back that many years... 7 years is a very long time
What Cleveland is doing is perfect.
Give RG3 1 year to prove himself.
If he works great. You still have a top 5 pick from philly and a late 1st.
If he don't workout you get 2 top 5 picks next season in a deeper QB draft. Win/win.
Cant lose
This guy is going to blow.
I have never seen the kid play. Some highups in Philly love the kid though. If it is Rosenman, they are screwed. No eye for talent. Gave up a bunch when they already spending decent dough on Bradford and Daniel.
1st-round QBs from non-FBS schools
Since 1979 NFL draft:
Year Quarterback Overall pick Team School 2008 Joe Flacco No. 18 Ravens Delaware 1995 Steve McNair No. 3 Oilers Alcorn St. 1983 Ken O'Brien No. 24 Jets Cal-Davis 1979 Phil Simms No. 7 Giant
Hairline fracture. Guy is a bust.
What does a hairline fracture have to do with being a bust?
When FCS meets real talent
