San Diego Chargers general manager Tom Telesco is willing to trade the third overall pick in the NFL draft if he gets the right offer.

The Tennessee Titans traded the No. 1 pick to the Los Angeles Rams and the second pick in the draft was dealt from the Cleveland Browns to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Most expect quarterbacks Carson Wentz (North Dakota State) and Jared Goff (Cal) to be picked 1-2, giving the Chargers their pick of all non-quarterbacks in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The top three picks in the draft have been traded only three other times -- 1967, 1975 and 1997.

Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey is thought to be the primary target of multiple teams drafting behind the Chargers, including the Dallas Cowboys at No. 4 and Jacksonville (fifth).

Telesco could sit tight and draft Ramsey for the Chargers, who lost longtime safety Eric Weddle in free agency, or opt for Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil. NFLDraftScout.com rates Tunsil as the No. 1 prospect in the draft.

Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa and UCLA linebacker Myles Jack are also in the conversation for teams picking in and around the top five.
If the Chargers move down, they could still land Tunsil or the No. 2 offensive tackle prospect in the draft, Notre Dame's Ronnie Stanley. Stanley is a sure top-10 pick according to NFLDraftScout.com.

They might also be able to nab Jack, who some scouts believe is sliding because of knee damage. Jack suffered a torn ACL last season and others have publicly downplayed the so-called injury concern, calling it a draft smokescreen.

Unless they can get some team to make a stupid deal (giving up a ton of picks to move up) they should just take Tunsil and be happy about it. He's a franchise OT and winning in the NFL begins w/ the OL.

well it is getting stupid at this point

you know that the 2 "Graded" QB's will go 1, 2 ...
and there might be someone dumb enough to throw away a bunch of picks to move to #3 overall

If they don't take Tunsil they are idiots. The best player in the whole draft also happens to be their #1 need.

I would guess the teams trading up would want Ramsey. Chargers would probably just move down a few spots to get Tunsil as the Cowboys at 4 are not taking him. Ravens would likely take Tunsil at 6. Maybe trade from 3 to 6.

if you know QB's are going 1/2 why not trade down and yeah maybe you dont get the haul the other teams did but your basically offering the #1 pick non qb so you are still going to make out pretty well when all said and done. what philly and stl gave up to me is absurd, this could be the new normal as long as you dont have an andrew luck coming out and your in need of a QB. i would be a seller of the top picks to get another #1 next year or a couple years down the road, its a no brainer IMO. just look at some of the QB's who have been drafted in later rounds, wilson was taken in the 3rd round, washington gave up a boatload to move up to draft rg3 and drafted cousins in the 4th round.

Only way I see the #3 pick traded is if one of the teams that traded out of the #1 & 2 want back in to the top of the round. I could see the titans moving up for Tunsil but they would have to give quite a bit. Same for Browns but then again both teams could feel like they have the firepower to move back up.
