whats wrong with your 22 year old driving at 11pm?

Does your daughter have her own car?

Do you or the bf live in a bad area?

Damn. Every fam is different and Im not married or have kids but....I would most definitely have my daughter take her home herself and go there herself wtf?

22 years old? I know boys n girls are different but I was out with my own car at 17...going over my gf's (which was in a bad area)

Let her live a little man! (or at least tell the wifey too)

How long is that going to last....that your daughter can't driver herself...25yr old...30?

...Dont take any offense here, just rambling but pretty shocked that a 22 year old isn't allowed to drive at 11pm....I'm scared to ask what else she isn't allowed to do.

It's ridiculous for your wife to not let her drive him home. That's the issue. Not you. I wouldn't do it either. 17 years old I might be able to understand, but 22? That's just nuts.

Bounce back is right. When does it stop? 25,30? My gf has children. 13.16.and 22. I know it's difficult because they are her kids and not yours. But y'all are married. You have a right to express whatever you want about the kids. If she isn't willing to listen to your advice or concerns then that's a huge problem that will only get worse.

Stand up for yourself and don't let her make you feel like you don't have a voice in the matter because you do. If you allow a woman to walk on you they will every time. Then after they walk all over you they won't respect you. Lol. Women are fucked up. What women really want is for a man to tell them what the fuck is up.

If you've been providing for her kids in that house then damn right you have a say in the matter.

Please dont take offense, but sounds to me your wife is possibly reliving her youth through your daughter by insisting on being up her & the bf's butts.

And of course there's the part where the mom says she "understands" how her daughter feels about the boy.

Im gonna leave the last, least likely scenario out unless you truly want to hear it..

I'd ask two questions. Why doesn't Billy Bob have a car and why is a 22-year-old still living at home?

If you voluntarily do not participate, good deal.

Now, as to what your wife, daughter and the boyfriend choose to do with their own choices. MYOFB and enjoy life.

Trying to sort out the personal choices of even one other person, much less Three people is a fruitless and perpetually unsatisfying use of one's time

I must say, I have been thoroughly enjoying the Barmans "bigger picture" outlook on life. I understand where you are coming from and loving it. I get it. Great stuff.

changing times in the developed world.

written in 2013;

Millions of young Americans are living at home, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data. The number of “millennials” -- adults aged 18 to 31-- living at home rose to 36% last year. That represented the highest percentage in the last four decades, and a significant increase from 32% just five years earlier. In 2012, 56% of adults aged 18 to 24 lived in their parental home, Pew found, as did 16% of adults aged 25 to 31. However, millennial males (40%) were significantly more likely than millennial females (32%) to live with mom and dad.
