My mom just went back to a flip. Getting laughed at is better than crying over a high ass bill she doesn't need.

Over the years, I've seemed to have gotten better reception on a cheap phones with less options.

My mom & most of my aunts & uncles have flip phones. Flip phones & some of the old phones were more clear sounding than these smart phones today.

I have both a smart phone and a 5 year old flip phone. I take the flip when I want something durable and easy to use. I've dropped it many times and still works fine. My smart phone got dropped once from 1 foot off the ground and cracked the screen needing $100 in repairs. Also, the call clarity is way better on the flip phone...after all isn't that the main thing a phone is supposed to do well.

My mom kept her flip phone for emergency and would leave it on in her purse for days on end without needing to charge even if she made calls. I got it for her on my plan and told her she could have an i phone or whatever but that is what she liked. Sprint just gave me that one. I used to love em back in the day and the reception was and still is the best. Burner phones never drop cuz they just pick up whatever tower is around.
