I'm guessing this ends up with a visit from CPS.

I could never punch my kid, even with boxing gloves on - unless it was just a playful jab.

But drawing blood? ugh.

I appreciate the father's intent (to discipline, and develop character) but as Judge said, there are better ways...

I didn't watch the video but when I was a kid(younger than 17) and we did something wrong we got whipped with a cat o nine tails on the back of the legs. That would probably be considered abuse now a days but it worked. Times have changed since I was a kid.

the "kid" is 17 years old. he didn't kick some 12 year olds ass. he whooped up on his 17 year old who thought he would old enough to do whatever he wanted like an adult. so he got an adult lesson. its not hard to cut the face or bleed from your nose. get over it

So much people say that the reason why kids are so fucked nowadays is cause of lack of discipline. Here we have discipline, HE IS 17, he is not a kid anymore... kid probably acting all tough and gangsta on school, I think dad just avoided another drive by. Plus he is teaching the kid how to box and defende himself (kid cant punch if his life depended on it)... at 17 I already had 2 fights (no sparring) against my dad, he wanted to correct me, I didnt let him and I did A BUNCH of supid shit during and afterwards. I dont think the dad is being terrible here, could teach him other ways BUT who's to say he didnt try those ways b4 and the kid just kept acting stupid.

You are over 16, I feed you and I clothe you, you better listen to me otherwise 2 options, a lil asskicking, or thow your ass down the street, Would be way more flexible with a daughter, would let the hard discipline to the wife.
