The ACC Coastal Division has been unpredictable for years and this season is no
exception. Three of the seven teams will have new head coaches which means
new looks and schemes. Last year's champ, North Carolina is breaking in a new
quarterback. Duke and Pitt are coming off eight win seasons and Georgia Tech
preseason predicted champ had its worse season in eight years. Below is 2015
won/loss records and returning starters for 2016.

Duke - 8-5....11
Ga Tech - 3-9....11
Miami - 8-5....16
N Car - 11-3....14
Pitt - 8-5....15
VA - 4-8....12
VT - 7-6....16

North Carolina will probably be the favorite but will have to contend with Miami
and Virginia Tech. Could also be a surprise or two if trends hold true.

8ate, I'm thinking both Miami and Virginia Tech will surprise some folks this season.

A ton of enthusiasm at both schools. Needed I might add..........................

Miami has a pretty good veteran quarterback which is a plus for Richt.

There's been some coaching upgrades in the Coastal...but I agree that Miami is about to dominate that division. VT will be a close 2nd. I'm looking forward to seeing what Mendenhall does at UVA.

Totally agree about the coaching up-grades.

Would be great for the ACC if some of these Coastal teams could challenge FSU and Clemson.
The ACC is a better conference than MOST average fans give them credit for.

Mark Richt has Miami at No. 4 on the recruiting trail for 2017. He has 15 commits and going for more.

Anyone that thinks Mark AIN'T motivated is NUTS.

Beware of the Hurricanes this season........................

And Kaaya is projected as a 1st round draft pick next year.

Yes sir Coach...Richt lucked up with a veteran QB he can build on this season.

Brad Kaaya was 238/389 for 3238 yards (61.2%) with 16 TDs and 5 ints.

Now Kaaya will be coached up for a winning season.

UNC will be breaking in a new QB. Their stock may be good to grab after UGA beats that ass 1st game. I like VT to win it.
