The Cubs have gone 27-27 in their last 54.

They will.be on the road for game1 of the NLCS in all liklihood.

Awesome contribution as usual!

How the fuck are you even a mod here?

Honestly man you really get but hurt bad when someone talks about your Cubs.
Who cares what they think?

You will just enjoy it more whenever they win it all

Thought it might be a good time to buy some Cubby stock. Nope, they're at (3-1 at William Hill) (2.5-1 Peppermill) (2.5-1 Atlantis) (3-1 Westgate) Those are my outs and yikes, no thanks. Can I get some 5-1? The market is still high on the Cubs it looks.

To win it all? Or the NL? If that's to win the WS those are terrible odds for a team that is 500 over 1/3 of the season.

Guess oddsmakers expect them to fill some gaps before the deadline.

Yeah those are WS odds, it was +450 before the season started. I'm hoping they stay mediocre until the playoffs. You'll get better odds playing them in the post season than +250.

Yeah that's absurd. Is there a field option (i.e. a NO on the other side of that bet)?

No Nevada doesn't do that, that I know of.

Cubs have had a bad century. In the last 100 years their best record was 100-54 .649 in 1935.
The scored 250 runs more than the opposition that years that's also their best run differential
in the same period. They will have to have 105 victories this year to top 1935 that's unlikely.
They may score more than 250 runs than their opposition this year now it's 444-297 that would be a milestone!

Yeah, and here's what sucks about this situation.

If/when the Cubs win it all, very few fans are going to be gracious about it. Because we all take constant shit like this. There are probably 8+ negative threads in the first two pages of the offshore about the Cubs: how they suck, how they're overrated, etc. Yeah, it sucks to look at, it gets old. It's like, get a fucking life, put down the hatorade and go root on your own team. We literally have a poster here, who 90% of his RX existence is trolling Cubs fans. And he has over 25k posts.

The kicker is, it's not like we were ruining the board when the Cubs get hot. I have started 2 Cubs threads in the last 2 years that I can remember, the W thread as a running thread, and a thread about Kris Bryant. That's it. I could see if the board was cluttered with hype in May, that now I would have to take my medicine. But that wasn't the case.

Imagine the Saints started off 10-0 or something. First off, I can guarantee that you personally would start no less than 3 threads a day hyping them. Secondly, if/when they fell back to Earth I sincerely doubt there would be threads by the dozens talking shit, saying "this is what you get for being a cocky asshole".

So of course if they win it all I'm going to come back in here and remind all those people about it, and tell them to suck it. And then they'll say the Cubs fans are arrogant assholes, and don't know how to win with class. And the cycle of hate will continue. In reality it would just be a natural pent-up "fuck you" to everyone who spends so much time and energy hating one team for no reason.

I'm not saying this shit to whine, I'm trying to explain 2 things. First, to clarify why this shit gets under my skin. JC wonders why he had interactions with Cubs fans and they were assholes. This is why. And secondly, to remind y'all that all you are going to do is make it completely insufferable if the Cubs ever win it. I will start multiple threads daily for the next 5 years after. I will troll 5teamparlay with every spare second I have. I will bump up all this old bullshit.

So keep fucking talking, it will come back 10-fold.
