Why bad? He is a liberal who will select liberal supreme court justices.
Why not as bad as you might think? Because government is the least harmful when it is stagnant. I think Trump has a hard time getting things done with both political parties and as such, I think whatever party is in control of congress also has problems getting their agenda through. This is almost always a good thing.
