Likely VP selection will be former Republican Governor of Massachusetts William F. Weld. Pretty stacked ticket. Either one of these two is already twice the candidate of Clinton/Trump. Johnson is already polling at 10%

Yeah my favorite was the Jewish Doctor, when he went off on his closing remarks. Record turnout for the convention this year. My opinion is we should have never gotten into World War 1, and had we not there wouldn't have been a WW 2 in all likely hood. WW 2 was a no brainer. But really these aren't even real issues that matter.

Why do they bother wasting their time?
Because we understand that evolution is a very gradual process. I'm sure the first man that tried to walk failed miserably too, while others thought the same thing.

Only if he can hit 15% in the polls. Right now he's at 10% so it's a possibility.

This should negatively impact Trump

The conventional wisdom would suggest that this is bad news for Trump, given that ideological libertarians are generally thought to be more a part of the Republican coalition than the Democratic.

However, the polling available so far would not appear to bear this out. The aforementioned PPP survey showed Trump down 6 points to Clinton in a head-to-head match-up. But when Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein are added to the equation, Clinton’s lead drops to 4 points. And in the Fox News poll, Trumps lead over Clinton holds steady at 3 points, both with and without Johnson.

The crosstabs for both polls show that Johnson wins both Democratic and Republican voters, and liberals as well as conservatives. Given that many Democrats and liberals are not thrilled with Clinton as a nominee, this should not come as a surprise. Plus, Johnson’s position on social issues such as religious liberty would seem to appeal much more to liberals than it would to conservatives.

So a strong November showing from Gary Johnson may not hurt Donald Trump’s chances at all. In fact, there’s a chance it may end up helping him.

+1 It seems like he's picking up a lot of the Bernie Sanders people. If he will get a bump from the Never Trump republicans with the addition of Weld to the ticket remains to be seen.

He was on the Joe Rogan podcast like a week ago. Decent listen.

I generally agree with him on 80-90% of the issues, but I was a little surprised how pedestrian he sounded. He's not the best communicator.

I doubt he gets in the debates but it would be pretty cool if he did.

that debate was something else. funniest thing on TV. Peterson who said forget roads, we'll all have jetpacks. He's seen Back to the Future one too many times, I guess. Perry wanted to hold bake sales to fund our military. All of them insist on erasing our borders. I think McAfee and that guy next to him got baked before the debate started.

I missed that but I watched first debate a few months ago and he was talking about how he wants flying cars. Dude is nuts.

That was an absolute freak show. The Ric Ocasek looking guy was hysterical. Thankfully for the Libs, they nominated the only normal guys, and have a chance to make the party relevant in this Drumpf- Hillary shitfest.

McAfee is involved in some crazy pump and dump penny stock at the moment too. Will probably end up in prison.
