Ideas for a weekend trip for wife's birthday? Fun cities/places?

Wife wants to go somewhere for her birthday in a couple weeks. Just the 2 of us. Already don't New York and Vegas before. So she is looking for a cool city

we have tossed around New Orleans, Denver, Toronto.

Anyone have any any good suggestions ?

Can't beat Gatlinburgh for the weekend. Especially if you enjoy outdoor activities

Toronto is nice ... New Orleans is Fun

how about the grand canyon ?

or do you just want a City type of place ?
if so, Philly is a Very cool City to visit

Opryland Hotel in Nashville

Palmer House in Chicago, fun city

Monterrey Cal is nice area

Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, great rates this time of year, Christinis a must to dine

Napa or Sonoma are nice towns. Drink all day but she finds it romantic instead of drink all day and she doesn't

JOH - we live there

just looking for a fun place - walk around, fun things to do (outdoors or non) - good food (wife is a foodie)

Cancun - decided no Caribbean - doing that in a few months
Thinking of staying away from West Coast b/c travel is a pain

some good ideas in here - we thought about Nashville, but heard that was more of a drink/live music type place - wife not a *huge* drinker
so looking for fun stuff to keep us busy for a few days, eat some good food, etc..
