NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)Yankees pitcher Ivan Nova and his wife left their White Plains rental home trashed when they moved out last year, a new lawsuit charges.

The landlord, Jose Rodriguez, is suing Nova, 29, for $175,000, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday. He alleges Ivan and Jasmine Nova rented out the $4,500-a-month house from January 2014 to September 2015 and left the home in need of $50,000 in repairs.

According to papers filed in Manhattan Federal Court, the Novas threw “raucous” parties and the home had “hordes of cockroaches” as a result of them not keeping it clean. There were also allegedly broken lights, windows and cabinets as well as damaged ceilings, doors, appliances, floor tiles and more.
Rodriguez said he was actually excited when Nova first moved in.

“As a lifelong Yankees fan, and given the world class reputation of the Yankees organization and its players, plaintiff felt honored to have a tenant of defendant Ivan Nova’s stature,” the court papers read.
