Pretty new around here and not trying to take sides but I'm a firm believer in the rare occurrence of some credible inside info. I have a contact in Vegas who pays well for info if it can be substantiated. There's one from years ago that really stands out. He calls me and tells me to bail the Mavs who were home playing the Kings that night. Line was unusually chunky at around -13 considering at the time the two teams were fairly evenly matched. He told me he had a bouncer friend at the premier gentelman's club in Dallas who told him that Webber, Bibby and Artest were getting carried out of the club at 4:00AM over their bodyguards shoulders and would in no way be able to play with the uptempo Mavs in the game that night. I laid the big number and was lucky enough to have it on a cable channel. I believe it was middle of the 2nd quarter when Marv Albert referenced the 3 of them on the bench and said that there were reports of the team getting hit with a "Flu Bug". I couldn't help but smile as the alcohol flu bug had my Mavs up by 26 at the half. Dallas pulled their starters early in the 4th when they were up by around 30 and ended up winning by about 19. Never was in doubt and provided me with some comedy relief the way they cover up for the players. I've had other instances that lead me to believe that there are copious amounts of people watching every move these guys make in an attempt to profit from it. Again, I'm not siding with anyone just stating that I've benefitted from some good info in the past. I will say that this game does look pretty interesting as I type this with 0 runs scored in the bottom of the 4th. Good luck with whatever you guys play!

What exactly was this piece of information? I'm on the Sox but that was before I saw this thread.

Why is every one of your 100+ post is pimping or asking for seabass plays? Are you in fact seabass?

Thanks for the story. I believe it. Didn't Billy Walters make his money this sort of way? Having insider knowlege. I recall the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL partying the night before a game when they were in town a few years back. Of course this never makes the news, but you might hear of it from those knowing this. You knew that they would not last the afternoon game and sure enough, 2nd quarter and they are showing signs of fatigue....

Yeah Cap, I'm a firm believer in insiders knowing pertinent information that can potentially affect the outcome of some games. I posted earlier next door about that huge reverse line movement in the Colorado game, clearly somebody saw something. That gas can for Cinncy gives up almost 10 a game and when I just looked he was up by 10. Im not saying it happens every day but once and awhile you see something that really makes you think people have some really good connections in some pretty high places. Gal this week! ?

While many (including me) were skeptical reading the above, your "insider intel" came through and cashed easily. Hope to see you post again in the future. Congrats! :toast:
