Great People on here, the atmosphere is alot better (less riddled with negativity) than other Sports Forums. For me thats why plus this is the Spot that Internet Sports Discussion Forums began, Ken created The Prescription well before creating EOG, so RX is The Original....the equivalent of going to The Absinthe House in N'awlinz.
Bettorsworld/Bookie's Hell may have been around when RX was born, "pretty close" as to which actually came first...There and Here the 2 Originals have a Classier Vibe, they are less trafficked yes but when Sports Betting gets legalized those of you who think massive traffic is a very +EV thing, :"watch out what you wish for" lol.
I find the Community Vibe here at RX to be much better than at other Forums, less negativity and fighting here, less snarkiness from people posting just to make conflict. As another poster mentioned above, the RX College Football Forum is awesome In-Season as is the NFL Forum and there is very interesting stuff happening in MLB SubForum now also.
I can come here, see interesting, relevant and intelligent posts without having to deal with/scroll past massive heaps of bullshit & negativity so for me the less trafficked compared to across the street is very very +EV.
The Future is very different though. Sports Betting will get legalized. Pinnacle positioned themselves for that by securing Pinnacle.com and RX is well positioned to be "The Sharp Bettors Home" for those who want an online sports forum. Like the difference in going to a 5 Star Restaurant versus a Chuck E. Cheese with a whole bunch of kids running around screaming.
