It depends on how you look at things. If you think someone like Edward Snowden is a hero then you should probably look at Ali the same. Did he dodge the draft? Yeah but he could have easily joined the USO and got out of combat, that would have been the way to go, if he was just being a coward. Instead he gave up all his belts, millions of dollars, and had his reputation dragged through the mud, for political reasons. Right or wrong, he believed in his cause and stuck to his convictions, and lost a lot because of it. Things aren't always as simple as black and white, real life is much more complicated.

He didn't want to bring Drumpf into the thread.

kindly keep in mind , passionate pro-american Mr Donald J Trump developed a bone spur at Penn. In addition , 'volunteering' to fight for his nation was not an option as Penn INSISTED he continue his education

good to go?.....:)

Trump fought his own personal Vietnam when he was avoiding STD's on the Manhattan singles scene.

4 Time Draft Dodger for Drumpf, 3 Student deferments and then his Bone spur". And I bet all these putz's who are knocking Ali for his bravery and conscience, are pulling the lever for Drumpf. [h=1]Deferments Helped Trump Dodge Vietnam[/h][h=2]How the presidential candidate avoided combat[/h]

Freaking funny

Lol I wish I could say I made it up, but Trump said it to Howard Stern in an interview in like 2001 or something. Obviously didn't know he would be running for POTUS back then. It was a funny exchange though.

all kidding aside , he had a chance to VOLUNTEER to fight for his nation. He did NOT. In addition, steps were taken to decrease the probability of him behind called. And yet he has the audacity to critique the actions of others during war. He has balls.....and no shame.........
