i have an amzaon firestick that a friend gave that has this kodi thing on it. it is supposed to let me watch free tv. ppvs's, mlb, movies etc. anyone else have one of these or something similar? it looks like it tries to stream from several different sources. for example im in my office now watching the golf channel, even though the tourney is in a delay apparently. anyway, for those who have something like this can you recommend any good sport channels? im having trouble finding links that work. unless im just looking in the wrong place which is a possibility.

Kodi is the old Microsoft Xbox media player.

I have heard that people sell the firestick which is hacked and Kodi is added to it.
always thought it was the heck that added whichever the apps, but there must be a way to add more.

the apps are on there but it just doesnt seem like any of the links work. and i cant figure out how to do a search, or even if there is a way to do one. for example, id like to search for all golf channel streams. or all news streams or whatever

The one posted the other day had like 10 or more things added to it when it was considered "jail broke". I'm highly curious of these things but would like some feedback before buying. Would love to give the monopoly cable company, Charter, the boot...

the guy who gave me this one got rid of cable, netflix, everything and uses this only. unfortunately for me today, he is out of the country so he cant answer my questions. i have three others at my house. my kids watch all kinds of movies on theirs. theyre also smarter than me when it comes to this stuff. i havent cancelled my cable or netflix yet though

Ebay ...

Just find one that has a High Feedback rating.
some times Ebay will ban them, but they come right back again.

I'm still playing with my Google Cast, go to my computer click one of my favorite Movie sites and it goes right to my TV.

I believe the firestick jail broken is much better

someone was selling them at another site/forum, not sure how that turned out.... but you can find them on Ebay

Haven't looked yet, but the jail broken one on CL was $90, or $40 to jail break it if you had one. Haven't checked here locally, but dude said he shipped out of state. How much did you pay for yours?

well a friend of mine gave me the one i use at my office. then i had him do three more for my house. i bought each of those at best buy for 30 bucks or maybe it was 70, whatever a stick costs, then i gave him a 100 bucks for breaking them or whatever. ive easily gotten my money back on them. my son likes to watch nba and the blue jays. we watched several out of market nba games during the reg season and he watches the tor games all the time. for free. we live in ky. im really hoping i can get the nfl games this yr. i dont see why i wouldnt be able to. its pretty sweet

I bought one last week for a little over 100 bucks. Still getting used to it. But have already watched a bunch of movies instead of streaming online on iPad or buying them on demand

I think stuff like this and Google chromecast is to drop most of the extras on cable, and just keep your basic package or a little above.
We pay like almost $200 for FiOs but that includes internet and phone
